Kitchen Stewards – Sydney Theatre Company

The Fresh Collective are looking for dedicated Kitchen Stewards to support the kitchen brigade at one of our venues - The Theatre Bar at the End of the Wharf which is part of Sydney Theatre Company - 15 Hickson Road, Walsh Bay. The venue is a 5 minute walk from Barangaroo Metro stations. We are offering up to 30 hours (maximum) per week with a mix of day and evening shifts, Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. The Role – Kitchen StewardThe Kitchen Steward is responsible to perform basic kitchen duties as requested by the Head Chef, including:General washing upBasic food preparationCleaning of kitchen equipmentCleaning of kitchen surroundsDeep cleaning BenefitsRegular hours in a central Sydney locationEmployee discounts across all Fresh venuesWork in a company that really values its peopleGuaranteed Sundays off (venue is closed on Sundays) About YouPrior experience of 1 year in a similar role, with knowledge of food hygieneA responsible person who shows initiativeAn eye for detailHard working, physically fit and reliable – able to lift 10-15kgs comfortablyGood communication skillsIn possession of a valid working visa, with availability to meet the required shifts.  About You

  • Prior experience of 1 year in a similar role, with knowledge of food hygiene
  • A responsible person who shows initiative
  • An eye for detail
  • Hard working, physically fit and reliable – able to lift 10-15kgs comfortably
  • Good communication skills
  • In possession of a valid working visa, with availability to meet the required shifts. (Student visa's accepted)
